Search by GOGO GET adds fast, AI-powered search to your WordPress site. Set up in minutes from the GOGO GET admin — guided Scan → Configure → Apply — then choose floating site-wide search or an in-content bar/icon.
Guided setup in WP Admin
Connect your GOGO account, scan this site, configure search options, and apply your install mode from the Overview dashboard. No portal hop for day-to-day search work.
Two ways to add search
* Floating search — a site-wide side tab visitors can open from any page
* In-content — shortcode [gogo_search type="bar"] / [gogo_search type="icon"] or the GOGO Search Gutenberg block

Installation
- Install and activate the plugin from wordpress.org or upload the zip.
- Open GOGO GET in WP Admin and connect your account (sign in or sign up).
- Complete guided setup: Scan → Configure → Apply.
- Choose Floating or In-content under Search Setup.
- For in-content: add
[gogo_search type="bar"]or the GOGO Search block where you want search to appear.
Frequently asked questions
Floating vs in-content — which should I use?
Floating is the simplest site-wide install (side tab on every page). Use in-content (shortcode or block) when you want search in a specific layout location such as the header.
Do I need to paste an API key?
After Connect and setup, Floating and block/shortcode installs use your linked GOGO configuration. You should not need to paste service credentials into the theme.
What is AI mode?
Where enabled on your plan, visitors can ask questions in plain language in the search UI. Crawl-time AI still improves keywords and descriptions even when AI mode is off.
Where do Search Metrics appear?
In the GOGO GET Search Metrics admin page (and in the GOGO portal for deeper charting). Product metrics appear on supported plans.
Does this update my live site when I use a staging/dev build?
No. Only publishing a new Stable tag via SVN updates Directory installs. Develop against a staging WordPress site with define('GOGOGET_ENV', 'test'); in wp-config.php.
Can I manage multiple sites?
This plugin focuses on the current WordPress site. Additional sites in your GOGO organization are managed in the GOGO portal Site Manager.
Changelog
Search bar now clears the typed query when you leave results, so reopen starts fresh.
