Changelog
Improves placeholder rendering and couple photo alignment without changing existing block data. Safe to upgrade, no breaking changes.
1.7.1
- Fixed: Placeholder rendering and photo alignment refined for couple-photo, couple-info, and avatar placeholders.
- Changed: Updated SVG placeholder paths and alignment CSS so placeholders scale consistently across editor and frontend.
1.7.0
- Added: Native WordPress Border Support for Couple Photo block — integrates
__experimentalBorderand border attributes (color, radius, style, width) with support for individual corner radius, color presets, and legacy frame fallback. - Added: Native WordPress Border Support for Couple Info block — adds border color, width, and style support to the couple-info block.
- Added: Font Family support for Couple Info block — new
nameFontFamilyattribute with SelectControl editor interface and localized labels. - Added: Independent Height Control for Couple Photo block — new
heightattribute allowing rectangular photo dimensions instead of forcing a square aspect ratio. - Changed: Refactored couple-photo zoom to use a CSS custom property (
--wb-photo-zoom) instead of inline transform styles, allowing the zoom level to combine with existing hover effects via relative scaling. - Changed: Removed the legacy
shapeattribute (circle, rounded, square) from couple-photo in favor of native WordPress border-radius attributes for more granular control. - Fixed: Zoom focal point maintenance —
object-positionandtransform-originnow use the same focal point so zoom always anchors to that point without pushing it out of frame.
1.6.0
- Added: Focal Point & Zoom Controls for Couple Photo block — new editor controls to set focal point (object-position) and zoom level (transform: scale) without destructive cropping or re-uploading images.
- Fixed: Couple columns alignment — changed align-items from baseline to flex-start to prevent vertical misalignment; added align-self: center to separator column for proper centering.
- Fixed: Replaced background shorthand with explicit background-color to avoid unintended side effects.
- Fixed: Reduced font weight for couple name and fullname styles from 600 to 500 for a lighter, more balanced appearance.

- Cover wrapper layout – Adjusted minimum width and box-sizing for the cover wrapper to improve stability across devices.
- CSS formatting & responsive layout – Reformatted CSS declarations for better readability and improved responsive behavior for couple columns, avatars, and other components.
1.5.0
- Dynamic Typography & Font Library Integration – Refactored couple-related blocks (couple-name, couple-parents, couple-info) to support dynamic font selection from the WordPress Font Library and theme settings.
- Flexible Font System – Replaced hardcoded font mappings with a flexible system that allows blocks to inherit theme typography by default or use custom font families.
- CSS Variables – Updated CSS to use CSS variables for body, heading, and accent fonts.
- Font Resolution Logic – Implemented font family resolution logic in couple-info, couple-name, and couple-parents blocks.
- Editor Integration – Integrated wp.data to fetch available font families from the editor settings.
- Sanitization – Added sanitization for custom font family strings in PHP render templates.
- Block Attributes – Updated block attributes to use ‘default’ instead of hardcoded ‘playfair’.
