About Underpixel Lead Rotator

Lead Rotator gives each new WhatsApp click to the next salesman in your list. Staff 1, then staff 2, then staff 3, then staff 1 again. Nobody gets all the enquiries, and nobody has to pass them on by hand.
You do not need to replace your WhatsApp button. Lead Rotator finds the WhatsApp links already on your pages (wa.me, api.whatsapp.com, web.whatsapp.com and whatsapp://) and, at the moment of the click, swaps the number for the next salesman. The message text the visitor would send stays exactly as it was.
If your site has no WhatsApp button, you can switch on a floating button or put the [leadrotator] shortcode on any page.
Free version (this plugin)
- Rotates between all your active sales staff, in turns. No limit on the number of staff.
- Weights: give your best seller more turns (1 to 5).
- Works with the WhatsApp buttons you already have, including theme buttons and plugin buttons.

Pro version (paid upgrade, sold separately)
Pro options are shown in the settings screen as a banner and as disabled options. The Pro code is not included in this version, and nothing in this plugin is locked or time-limited. Pro adds:
- Clicks per staff and per page, with CSV download.
- Working hours for each staff.
- Different staff per page or category.
- Same customer, same salesman.
Tested with
- Plain WhatsApp links (wa.me and api.whatsapp.com), including links opened in a new tab, icons inside links and links added to the page after it loads.
- Buttons that open WhatsApp from JavaScript (location change or window.open).
- Joinchat (floating button).
- Click to Chat, WP WhatsApp (NinjaTeam), WhatsApp Chat (QuadLayers), Chaty and Elementor buttons.
- Underpixel Quote Request (product page button).
- The floating button and shortcode use your theme’s own button style (the
buttonandwp-element-buttonclasses). - Saved (cached) copies of a page.
Privacy
Lead Rotator stores no personal data about visitors: no IP address, no user agent, no phone number. It saves your settings in one option (leadrotator_settings), a counter of clicks per day, staff and page, and a ticket counter used to decide whose turn it is. Buttons lead to WhatsApp, under WhatsApp’s own privacy policy. Pro only: the option “Same customer, same salesman” sets one cookie (leadrotator_staff, 30 days) that holds a staff id, nothing about the visitor. Uninstalling the plugin removes its tables, settings and user preferences.
Installation
- Upload the
underpixel-lead-rotatorfolder to/wp-content/plugins/, or install the zip from Plugins > Add New. - Activate Lead Rotator.
- Go to Lead Rotator in the admin menu. Answer the first question: does your website already have a WhatsApp button?
- On the Staff tab, add your sales staff with their WhatsApp numbers (with country code). You can type the number with + and spaces, for example +60 12-345 6789; it is cleaned automatically.
Frequently asked questions
Does it work with my theme’s WhatsApp button or a chat plugin?
Buttons that are WhatsApp links, or that open a WhatsApp link when pressed, are rotated. See “Tested with” below for what has been checked.
What happens if something fails?
The visitor always reaches WhatsApp. If the script cannot run, the original link works. If the rotation address cannot find a usable salesman, the visitor is sent to the original number. Lead Rotator never leaves a button that does nothing.
Does the report show chats or leads?
It shows clicks, not chats. A click means a visitor pressed a WhatsApp button. Lead Rotator cannot see whether the visitor then sent a message in WhatsApp.
Can the same customer reach the same salesman again?
Yes, with the Pro option “Same customer, same salesman”. It works only when the customer uses the same browser and device.
Does it store visitor data?
No. See the privacy note below.
Do I need to exclude pages from my caching plugin?
No. The rotation happens when the visitor clicks, not when the page is built, so a saved copy of your page still rotates.
What should I do after deactivating Lead Rotator?
Purge your page cache after deactivating. A saved copy of a page can still hold the rotation link, and without the plugin that link has nothing to answer it. Lead Rotator clears the common cache plugins when you deactivate it, but check yours.
Does it work on a multisite network?
Network activation is not supported in this version. Activate it on each site separately.
Do I need WooCommerce?
No. If WooCommerce is active and Underpixel Quote Request is not, the settings screen shows a note about it. It is a free plugin that adds a WhatsApp button to product pages. Lead Rotator then shares those clicks between your staff.
