About Symmetria Smart Images
From the official readme · v2.1.12Description
Your image-heavy website might contain hidden performance, accessibility, or layout issues that are easily overlooked.
Symmetria Smart Images gives you a lightweight suite of AI‑driven tools, options and settings to tackle the most common, image-related issues:
- Poorly cropped images – key subjects are often cut off, creating awkward layouts and wasted space.
- Missing alt text & captions – Without descriptive, SEO‑friendly text, pages lose accessibility and ranking potential, especially across languages.
- Large file formats – Heavy files slow page loads, hurting user experience and search‑engine performance.
If you’re trying to troubleshoot and fix these manually, you’re losing time and money. Let’s turn these issues quickly into competitive advantages with minimal effort on your part.
Our key features
- Dashboard: Instantly see the potential issues in your media library, that could be fixed or optimized with one click.
- AI Alt Text & Captions: Automatically create meaningful, SEO-friendly alt attributes and image captions (in multiple languages) to improve accessibility and search visibility.
- Smart Cropping: Our AI-engine analyzes and aims to crop images for the most optimal viewpoint and fit according to your sites layout.
- WebP Conversion: Convert uploads (and optionally existing media) to WebP to reduce file sizes and speed up page loads.
- Smart Variants: Prevent WordPress from generating unnecessary image sizes by default to save disk space and server resources. Instead, Smart Variants generates them on the fly, only when they are actually needed.
- Bulk processing: Optimize your existing media library in bulk, including cropping, WebP conversion and alt/caption generation.
- Automation: You can set new uploads to be processed automatically according to your settings.
These features ensure every image on your site improves performance and accessibility, reduces load times and bandwidth costs, and frees up storage and server resources.
Get started now and make every image pull its weight.
There are two different versions of Symmetria Smart Images:
- Free: Smart Variants + alt-text and caption creation with AI for single images.
- Pro: All the features with automation and bulk processing -module.
When you register you get access to our Pro version – we cover the cost for your first 100 images.
