* Fix – Setting an order’s status to Refunded now refunds the payment at Swedbank Pay, including what is left on a partly refunded order. It can be turned off with the new “Refund on status change” setting.
* Fix – Fixed an issue where an order was marked as paid when its order received page was opened, even if the customer had not paid. The order is now only marked as paid once Swedbank Pay has confirmed the payment.
* Fix – Fixed an issue where unticking the “Logging” setting did not stop the plugin from writing to its log. Requests and callbacks are no longer logged once the setting is turned off.
* Fix – Removed the “Detailed logging” setting, which had no effect on what was logged.

2026.10.05 – version 4.7.0

• Feature – Added support for refunds that Swedbank Pay confirms after a delay, such as Banklink refunds in the Baltics. The refund is registered in WooCommerce right away, and the order is put on hold if Swedbank Pay later turns the refund down or never confirms it.
• Feature – Added a check that limits the separate instruments to the ones activated on the Swedbank Pay account, so a payment method that is not activated can no longer be enabled or offered at checkout.
• Fix – Fixed an issue in the Seamless Menu checkout where a change of billing country was not passed on to Swedbank Pay, so payment methods that depend on the shopper’s country, such as Pay later, could be offered or hidden based on the country the checkout started with.
• Fix – Fixed an issue where a refund of less than 1 in the store currency, for example 0.50 EUR, was rejected with “Amount must be positive.”, and where a refunded line of exactly 0.01 was left out of the refund.
• Fix – Fixed an issue where a full refund reported by Swedbank Pay in a callback could make the plugin try to refund the order a second time.
• Fix – Fixed an issue where the checkout flow setting could still be changed to Seamless Menu on a store using the Block Checkout, which only supports Redirect Menu.

• Enhancement – Added a new swedbank_pay_transaction_description filter for changing the description sent to Swedbank Pay with a capture, cancellation or refund.
• Enhancement – Shoppers now see a generic error message when a Swedbank Pay payment fails, instead of the raw API error with internal field names. The full error is still recorded in the plugin log.
• Fix – Fixed an issue where the checkout could not be started when the payment order description exceeded Swedbank Pay’s 40-character limit, for example after being extended through the swedbank_pay_payment_description filter.
• Fix – Fixed an issue where refunding an order by entering an amount, rather than selecting line items, was rejected by Swedbank Pay on any order that included VAT.
• Fix – Fixed an issue where the record of already refunded items was stored with duplicated rows and inflated quantities, which made the quantities offered for a later refund of the same order wrong.
• Fix – Fixed an issue where the shipping cost was left out of a refund, so the shipping was never returned to the customer even though WooCommerce showed the order as refunded.
• Fix – Fixed an issue where the shipping and fee amounts could not be entered on the order screen when taxes were enabled, which made it impossible to refund the shipping cost.

• Enhancement – Added a new swedbank_pay_culture filter for overriding the checkout language.
• Fix – Fixed an issue in the inline embedded checkout where placing an order could abort a payment that was already in progress, leaving the order on Pending payment after the customer had paid.
• Fix – Fixed an issue where capturing, cancelling or refunding an order paid with a separate instrument stopped working after the checkout flow was changed to Seamless Menu, leaving the order status change unprocessed without any error.
• Fix – Fixed an issue where the callback for a captured or refunded payment was logged as a failure, because the payment was looked up by its authorization instead of by the transaction the callback was about.
• Fix – Fixed an issue where cancelling an order added an order note that ended in an empty transaction number, making the cancellation harder to match against the merchant portal.
