Why SaifBrand SEO & Speed
Most sites end up running a separate image-compression plugin, a separate SEO plugin, and a separate caching plugin — each with its own settings screen, its own updates, and its own way of doing things. SaifBrand SEO & Speed keeps the essentials in one place, with sensible defaults that work out of the box.
Pro
SaifBrand SEO & Speed Pro adds full-page speed caching, AI-generated alt text, AI-generated meta descriptions, AVIF image support, and priority support. Learn more.
Installation
- Upload the
saifbrand-seo-speedfolder to/wp-content/plugins/, or install directly from the WordPress plugin directory. - Activate the plugin through the “Plugins” menu in WordPress.
- Go to the new “SaifBrand SEO & Speed” menu item in your dashboard sidebar to review settings — the defaults are safe to leave as-is.
- Optionally click “Bulk Optimize” to convert your existing Media Library images to WebP and fill in any missing alt text.
Frequently asked questions
Will this break my images if something goes wrong?
SaifBrand SEO & Speed only replaces a JPEG/PNG with its WebP equivalent after the WebP file has been successfully created and verified on disk. Always keep a backup of your site as a general practice, as you should with any plugin that modifies media files.
Does this work with Yoast SEO or Rank Math?
Yes. SaifBrand SEO & Speed automatically detects if Yoast SEO, Rank Math, or All in One SEO is active and steps aside from all SEO output (titles, meta tags, sitemap) so there’s no conflict or duplication. The image optimization and speed features keep working regardless.
Do I need to keep the original JPEG/PNG files?
No. Once an image is converted to WebP, the original is removed and the WebP file takes its place at the same location in your Media Library, so no other plugin or theme code needs to change.
What does the free version include versus Pro?
Everything listed under Image Optimization, SEO, and the lazy-loading part of Speed is free, permanently. Pro adds full-page caching and AI-powered content generation for alt text and meta descriptions.
Changelog
Renamed to SaifBrand SEO & Speed -- same plugin, new name.
1.3.1
- Fixed: images embedded in posts and pages could 404 after a bulk WebP
conversion. The editor writes an image’s URL into the post content itself, so
converting the file left those URLs pointing at a JPEG that no longer existed.
The plugin now serves the WebP for those old URLs as the page is sent, which
repairs affected sites on update with nothing to click. - Changed: the original JPEG/PNG is now kept by default instead of being
deleted, so a link this plugin cannot rewrite – a hard-coded theme path, an
RSS reader, another site linking your image – still resolves. Both behaviours
are toggles on the Image Optimization tab. - Changed: the admin menu now reads “SaifBrand SEO”, which fits the sidebar on
one line.
1.3.0
- Page cache is now free for everyone. It was previously a Pro-only feature.
- New: the cache can serve a page before WordPress loads, using a
wp-content/advanced-cache.php drop-in. On a test site this took a page from
545ms to 25ms – about 22 times faster. If wp-config.php cannot be written the
cache still runs the old way, just with a smaller saving, and says so. - New: the cache refuses to run alongside another caching plugin (LiteSpeed
Cache, WP Rocket, W3 Total Cache, WP Super Cache and others). Two page caches
on one site serve stale pages, so this one stands aside rather than competing. - New: optional separate cache for mobile visitors, and a button to clear
cached pages. - Fixed: the page cache never actually saved anything. It read its output buffer
back onshutdown, but WordPress closes every buffer on that same hook first,
so there was nothing left to store. This affected the Pro cache in earlier
versions too. - The cache is off until you switch it on, and switching it off removes
everything it added, including its line in wp-config.php. - Catches the free build up with several fixes and improvements that had only
reached the Pro build: alt-text handling in the media modal, the WPVane
connector, SEO output, and blocked-sender support for stored form messages.
Saved form messages now record the sender’s IP so a sender can be blocked, not
just an address – the table is upgraded automatically on the first admin visit
and existing messages are left untouched. - Removed assets/admin.js, which nothing had loaded for several versions.
1.2.2
- The “Auto-fill missing alt text” setting now says plainly what it does and does not do. It fills alt text from the filename, which helps image search, but a filename is not a description: a blind visitor hears “Blue Summer Dress 2026” and still does not know what the picture shows. Treat what it writes as a placeholder to replace.
- Added a one-time, dismissible pointer to AccessVane, our separate free accessibility plugin, for anyone who wants to find which images still need real descriptions.
- Marked as tested against WordPress 7.1. The old value kept the plugin out of WordPress.org search results.
- Switched file deletion to wp_delete_file() so hosts that filter direct filesystem calls behave predictably.
1.2.1
- Fixed: with “Also protect the login form” switched on, the timing check could turn away a real person whose password manager filled the form instantly. Sign-in no longer has a minimum fill time; the honeypot and the lockout still apply there. Comments and contact forms are unchanged.
- The plugin is now called SaifBrand SEO, Speed & Security everywhere, matching what it does.
- New screenshots for the Security and App Control screens.
1.2.0
- New Security tab: spam and bot protection, optional Cloudflare Turnstile or Google reCAPTCHA using your own free keys.
- New: login protection, file integrity scanning, contact form message storage, and simple visitor counting.
- New App Control tab: connect the site to the WPVane app in one click. Off until you turn it on.
- Fixed: the page cache keyed on the Host header from the request, which let anyone create unlimited cache files.
- Fixed: the page cache could capture other plugins’ output or save a half-finished page.
- Fixed: the page cache now clears when a menu, widget, comment or plugin changes.
1.1.3
- Fixed: other active plugins’ admin notices (e.g. Elementor’s) no longer appear on this plugin’s own settings page.
- Added an optional, dismissible review request after a week of active use (free plan only).
