RankHigh – AI Product Description Generator for WooCommerce connects your store to OpenAI, Google Gemini, or OpenRouter and writes professional, SEO-friendly product descriptions in seconds — based on the product title, categories, attributes, and tags you already have.
This plugin is completely free. Bring your own API key from any supported provider and generate unlimited descriptions.

How it Works
- Install and activate the plugin
- Go to WooCommerce → AI Descriptions → Settings and choose your AI provider
- Paste your API key (OpenAI, Gemini, or OpenRouter)
- Edit any product — click ✨ Generate Description in the sidebar
- Preview the result and click Apply to Product
- Save the product as normal
Bulk Generation
Go to WooCommerce → Bulk Generate, select as many products as you like, and hit generate. The plugin processes them in background batches (5 at a time via WP-Cron) so you never hit PHP timeouts. A live progress bar keeps you updated.
External Services
This plugin sends product data (title, categories, attributes, tags) to third-party AI APIs in order to generate descriptions. No customer personal data is ever transmitted. The specific service used depends on the provider you choose in Settings:

You must supply your own API key for the chosen provider. The plugin makes no API calls unless an API key is configured and a generation is explicitly triggered by a store administrator.
Installation
- Upload the plugin folder to
/wp-content/plugins/ - Activate through Plugins → Installed Plugins
- Go to WooCommerce → AI Descriptions → Settings
- Choose your AI provider and enter your API key
- Start generating!

Which AI providers are supported?
OpenAI (GPT-4o, GPT-4o Mini, GPT-3.5 Turbo), Google Gemini (2.0 Flash, 1.5 Pro, 1.5 Flash), and OpenRouter (300+ models including Claude, Llama, Mistral).
Do I need an API account?
Yes — you need an API key from your chosen provider. New OpenAI accounts include free credits. Gemini offers a generous free tier. OpenRouter has free-tier models available.
How much does each generation cost?
This plugin is free. You only pay for AI API usage directly to your provider. Using GPT-4o Mini, a typical product description costs around $0.001–$0.003. Gemini 2.0 Flash is similarly priced.
Will it overwrite my existing descriptions?
In single-product mode you see a preview first and click “Apply” to confirm. In bulk mode, descriptions are written automatically — you are shown a warning before starting.
Does it work with Yoast SEO / RankMath?
Yes — the plugin reads the focus keyword from both plugins and includes it naturally in the generated copy.
Is the plugin GDPR compliant?
Product data (title, category, attributes) is sent to your chosen AI provider. No customer personal data is sent. Review each provider’s data policy before use.
Can I change the writing tone per product?
Yes — there is a Tone selector directly on the product edit page that overrides the global default for that single generation.
