Run events on your WordPress site: publish an event, sell or issue tickets, take
bookings, and check people in at the door with a QR code.
What you can do
- Create events with dates, times, location and a map
- Offer several ticket types per event, each with its own price and limit
- Take bookings from visitors through a form on the event page
- Manage bookings from the admin, including discounts, fees and booking status
- Email confirmations and reminders from templates you control
- Check attendees in by scanning the QR code on their ticket
- Show a calendar or a list of upcoming events with a shortcode
Shortcodes
Put a calendar or an event list anywhere with the shortcodes documented on the
plugin’s settings screen, under the Events menu.
Tickets and bookings
Each ticket type carries its own price, available quantity, and the dates it can
be bought and used. A booking records who bought it, how many, and what they
paid, and every ticket issued gets a unique QR code for check-in.
Requirements
WordPress 5.0 or later and PHP 7.0 or later. Nothing else is needed: bookings and
check-in data are stored in your own database.
How to use after installation
- Go to event section in event plugin menu and create an event by entering name, date range, time, description, tags, featured image, event category and tickets connected to it.
- Create tickets for created events by going in tickets section, click on add new ticket and enter details e.g name, description, seats availability, minimum and maximum tickets per booking, selling dates and check-in dates.
- Create event category for events by entering name and slug.
- Check bookings by users in booking section and edit status as well
- Show google map on front page of website for event location. Just enter google map api key in settings section, google map will be shown if you have entered valid address in event details.
- Choose currency from settings area and you can select left or right selection for currency placement.
Installation
- Upload `events-management.zip file in plugins sections of your WordPress website
- Install uploaded zip file of plugin
- Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
- Events Management Plugin is ready for use, you can view in dashboard.

- Fixed: the plugin stopped the whole site on PHP 8. An invalid printf format
specifier raised an uncaught ValueError while registering post types, which
made every page, including wp-admin, fail to load. - Fixed: PHP 8.2 deprecation notices on every request, caused by three
undeclared class properties. - Changed: the donate, support and pro-version links pointed at a domain that
no longer exists. They now point to itpixelz.com and to this plugin’s page
on wordpress.org. - Security: a booking submitted without a valid request token was accepted
anyway. The check existed but its result was discarded, so the booking
was written and the confirmation mail sent regardless. It now stops. - Security: the plugin’s settings screens saved site-wide options without
checking that the person submitting the form was allowed to change
them. They now require the manage_options capability. - Security: booking details saved from the admin post screen are now
written only for a genuine edit by someone who may edit that booking,
and are skipped during autosaves. - Fixed: the plugin sent no-cache headers on every request on the whole
site, which disabled page caching everywhere and produced “headers
already sent” warnings. Those headers now apply only to the event,
ticket and booking screens, the booking form and the QR and export
endpoints, which are the responses that must not be cached. One of
them also carried a malformed date that browsers could not read. - Fixed: booking confirmations and reminders were sent from an address at
a domain that no longer exists, so many of them would have been
rejected or treated as spam. They now come from the site’s own admin
address. - Tested up to WordPress 7.1. Declared a minimum of PHP 7.0.
- Note: the previous stable tag referred to a version 4.7.3 that was never
released. Versioning now follows the plugin’s actual history.
