Dude Commerce is a simple WordPress ecommerce plugin for selling physical products with Stripe Checkout.
Create your products, set prices and stock, add them anywhere on your WordPress site, and start selling — without installing WooCommerce or setting up a traditional shopping cart.
Customers choose a product and pay securely through Stripe Checkout. Dude Commerce then handles the order, stock, customer access and basic fulfilment directly inside WordPress.
No WooCommerce. No shopping cart. No customer accounts.

Paid checkouts are securely processed by Stripe Checkout.
Stripe also collects tax (when Stripe Tax is enabled) and shipping addresses. No payment card data is ever stored on your WordPress website.

Local Payment Confirm (Test Only)
When Stripe Test mode and Local payment confirm are enabled, the checkout return page can confirm a payment by talking to Stripe directly. This is for local development when webhooks cannot reach your site. It is not intended for production Live mode.
Installation
- Install and activate Dude Commerce.
- Open Dude Commerce → Settings.
- Enter your Stripe API keys, choose currency and sell-to countries, and configure the webhook endpoint.
- Create a product under Dude Commerce → Products and publish it.
- Add a Gutenberg block or shortcode (for example
[dude_commerce id="123"]) to any page. - Place a test order with Stripe Test mode, then start selling.

No. Each purchase is a single-product Stripe Checkout — one product and its selected options at a time.
Do customers need a WordPress account?
No. Customers receive secure passwordless magic links to view their orders.
Does it support product options such as size and colour?
Yes. Define up to five options and Dude Commerce automatically generates the combinations. Each combination can have its own price, sale price, stock quantity, SKU and optional image.
Can I manage stock?
Yes. Products and product combinations can have their own stock quantities and SKUs. Stock is reduced automatically after successful payment.
Can I sell free products?
No. Dude Commerce is designed for paid physical products. Prices must be greater than zero.
How does shipping work?
You set a flat shipping amount on each product. Stripe Checkout collects the customer’s shipping address. Dude Commerce does not calculate live carrier rates or complex shipping zones.
Does Dude Commerce calculate VAT or sales tax?
Dude Commerce does not calculate tax itself. You can optionally enable Stripe Tax so Stripe calculates and collects applicable tax based on the buyer’s location. Your tax registrations are configured in Stripe.
Where is card data stored?
Payment card information is handled by Stripe and is never stored on your WordPress website.
How is this different from Dude Downloads or Dude Paywall?
Dude Downloads sells digital files. Dude Paywall sells access to WordPress posts and pages. Dude Commerce sells physical products with stock and fulfilment. Each plugin uses its own Stripe webhook URL.
Is there a Pro version?
Yes. The free version provides the complete core selling and fulfilment workflow. Dude Commerce Pro adds reporting, CSV exports, webhooks, REST API access, admin notifications and custom customer emails.
