About Bootstrap Carousel Slider

Add a responsive image slider to any page with one shortcode. Each slide is a
normal WordPress post with a featured image, a title and a caption, so you add
and reorder slides the same way you edit anything else on your site.
Built on the Bootstrap carousel markup, so if your theme already loads Bootstrap
the slider inherits your existing styling.
Adding a slider
- Go to Sliders, then Add New. Set a title, add a caption in the editor, and
set a featured image. - Put
[show_bootstrap_carousel]in any post or page.
Options
Under Settings, then Carousel Settings:
- Show or hide the dot indicators
- Show or hide the previous and next arrows
- Show or hide captions
- How many slides to display
- Caption heading colour
Showing one category
Group slides with the Category taxonomy and show a single group:
[show_bootstrap_carousel category="homepage"]
In a widget or in your theme
There is a widget under Appearance, then Widgets. To place a slider directly in
a template file:

Requirements
Your theme must load the Bootstrap CSS and JavaScript. The plugin supplies the
slider markup and its own small stylesheet, not the Bootstrap framework itself.

Yes. Each one gets its own identifier, so they work independently.
How do I change the caption colour?
Under Settings, then Carousel Settings, there is a colour picker for the caption heading.
Does it work on multisite?
Yes. Slides and settings are per site.

- Fixed: the shortcode printed its markup instead of returning it, so the
carousel appeared at the top of the page rather than where the shortcode was
placed, and do_shortcode() returned nothing. - Fixed: turning navigation off left the slide query undefined, so no slides
were fetched. The query is now built independently of the display options. - Fixed: a fresh install raised PHP warnings on every carousel and rendered
with every feature switched off, because no default settings were stored.
Defaults are now seeded on activation and applied when a setting is absent. - Fixed: settings are validated when saved, and all output is escaped.
- Fixed: the stylesheet was linked from a hardcoded path that broke when the
plugin folder was renamed. It now resolves relative to the plugin. - Fixed: an empty image placeholder was rendered when no slides existed.
- Changed: the slide identifier is now unique per carousel, so more than one
carousel can appear on the same page. - Tested up to WordPress 7.1. Declared a minimum of PHP 7.0.
- Note: the previous stable tag referred to a version 4.3 that was never
released. Versioning now follows the plugin’s actual history.
