Simple Article Byline lets you add a custom author name to any post using a small input box in the post editor.
The entered name is displayed automatically below the post title on the frontend.
Perfect for:

No settings page. No clutter. Just works.
Installation
- Upload the plugin folder to
/wp-content/plugins/ - Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu
- Edit any post and enter an author name in the “Article Author Name” box
