RankManager is a lightweight WordPress connector plugin that links your website to the RankManager SaaS platform. All AI intelligence lives in the SaaS — the plugin simply facilitates communication between WordPress and the platform.
Technical Note: This plugin requires an account and connection to the RankManager SaaS platform. Our AI engine processes your content on our secure servers to provide SEO and GEO scores that would otherwise put a heavy load on your server.
Features:
- Settings & API Key Connection — Securely connect your WordPress site to the RankManager platform with encrypted API key storage.
- Create New Pages — Enter a keyword or topic, and the SaaS generates a full page draft pushed directly to WordPress.
- Rewrite Existing Pages — Send current post content to the SaaS for AI-powered optimisation with a preview before applying.
- SEO & GEO Score Columns — View SEO Score, GEO Score, and lifecycle status directly in your Posts and Pages list.
- Webhook Receiver — Automatically receive score updates, lifecycle changes, and content updates from the SaaS.
- AI Transparency (EU AI Act) : Machine-readable AI provenance metadata is embedded in the page head and stored in post meta for every page RankManager publishes, and a visible disclosure label is rendered when RankManager determines one is required.

Data Privacy
This plugin transmits data to the RankManager SaaS platform (https://api.app.rankmanager.ai) to provide AI scores and content optimization. No data is transmitted until you enter an API key in the settings.
Data sent to RankManager:
- Post/page URL, title, and HTML content
- Meta title and meta description
- Word count, heading counts, image counts, and internal/external link counts
- Structural signals (FAQ blocks, schema markup, editor type)
- Focus keyword (if set via Yoast SEO or Rank Math)
- WooCommerce product data (only when WooCommerce integration is enabled)
When data is sent:
- Automatically when a post or page is saved.
- On demand when you use “Rewrite with AI” or “Sync” features.

Installation
- Upload the
rankmanagerfolder to the/wp-content/plugins/directory. - Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress.
- Go to the RankManager menu and enter your API key.
- Start using RankManager from your post/page editor.

Where do I get an API key?
Sign up at app.rankmanager.ai and find your API key under Settings → API in your dashboard.
Does this plugin make AI calls directly?
No. All AI processing happens on the RankManager SaaS platform. The plugin only sends requests and receives results via our secure API.
Why does some AI content show a disclosure label and other content does not?
The EU AI Act does not require a visible label on every piece of AI-generated content. RankManager classifies each item and decides whether a label is required, then tells the plugin. You choose the label format and its placement in RankManager under Settings, AI Compliance. The wording of the label is set by RankManager and is not editable in WordPress.
Can I edit the AI transparency metadata in WordPress?
No. The metadata is part of your compliance audit trail, so the plugin blocks writes to it from the post editor, the REST API and other plugins. It is updated only by RankManager. Alt text on AI-generated images stays editable, but the AI indicator phrase is kept in it.
