Installation
- Upload the plugin files to
/wp-content/plugins/rankai/or install via the WordPress plugin screen. - Activate the plugin through the Plugins menu in WordPress.
- Go to RankAI in the admin menu to see your dashboard.
- Open any post or page and fill in the Focus Keyphrase, SEO Title, and Meta Description fields.
- Click Analyze with RankAI to get your score and recommendations.

Do I need an API key?
No. RankAI works entirely on your WordPress server with no external API required.
Will RankAI conflict with Yoast SEO or RankMath?
We recommend using RankAI as a standalone SEO plugin. Running multiple plugins that output meta tags can cause duplicate tags. If migrating from another plugin, use the built-in Importer (RankAI → Settings → Import) to bring your data across, then deactivate the other plugin.
Does RankAI output meta tags automatically?
Yes. RankAI automatically outputs meta description, canonical URL, robots meta, Open Graph, and Twitter Card tags for all singular posts and pages. No configuration needed.
What is the AI Citation score?
The AI Citation score measures how likely your content is to be cited by AI tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Claude. It checks for statistics, authority links, schema markup, and E-E-A-T signals.
How do I set up the XML sitemap?
Your sitemap is available at yoursite.com/sitemap.xml automatically after activation. Go to RankAI → Settings to configure which post types to include and enable search engine pinging.
How do I import from Yoast SEO or RankMath?
Go to RankAI → Settings and scroll to the Import section. Select your source plugin and click Start Import. RankAI will import in batches and never overwrite data you have already set.
