About Quidra Connector for Idealista
From the official readme · v2.1.3Description
If your agency has an Idealista XML export, this plugin brings that portfolio into your own website and keeps it up to date on its own. Properties become native WordPress content — your theme styles them, your SEO plugin sees them, your permalinks own them. No third-party servers, no iframes, no rented pages.
What it does:
- Synchronizes from the official Idealista XML export over FTP
- Runs on its own via WP-Cron (every 1h / 3h / 6h / 12h / 24h)
- Stores properties as a native custom post type (
quidra_property), with taxonomies for location, property type and operation - Property listings in grid or list layout, with numbered pages, “Load more”, infinite scroll or previous/next
- A property page with gallery, key specs, description, features, agent card and related properties
- A contact form that emails each enquiry to your agency
- Brand colors, corner radius and a choice of thirty-one font families, so listings match the rest of your site
- Every template can be overridden from your active theme
Fonts are served from your own site by default. The two bundled families ship with the plugin, so a default install makes no request to Google Fonts. Pick any of the other twenty-nine families and it is loaded from Google Fonts instead — see “External services” below before you do.
Your whole feed is published. Every property is imported and kept up to date, and every property with photos is published. A property arrives as a draft only while Idealista has not sent photos for it, and publishes itself as soon as they do.
Cardee Technologies, SL. also makes a separate add-on, Quidra Pro; this plugin is complete without it.
External services
The plugin connects to the services below, only in the circumstances described. The two bundled
font families are served from your own site.
The FTP server of your Idealista XML export subscription
This is the whole point of the plugin, and the connection is to a server you configure.
When: every time properties are synchronized — on the schedule you choose in the Sync tab, or
when you click “Sync now”. Also when you click “Verify Connection”.
What is sent: the FTP host, port, username and password you entered, so the server can
authenticate you. Nothing about your site, your visitors or your WordPress installation is sent.
What is received: the XML export file of your own property portfolio.
The credentials are yours, issued by Idealista for your own subscription, and are stored encrypted
on your site. Service: Idealista — see their
terms of use and
privacy policy.
Idealista’s image servers
When: whenever a visitor views a property card, a listing or a property page. The photos of each
property and the agent’s photo are not copied to your site: the page shows them directly from the
addresses Idealista includes in your XML export.
What is sent: the visitor’s browser requests each image from Idealista’s servers, which receive
the visitor’s IP address and browser details, as with any image loaded from another site.
What is received: the images.
Service: Idealista — see their
terms of use and
privacy policy.
Google Fonts
Only if you choose a font that is not one of the two bundled with the plugin.
The Style tab offers a list of typefaces. Two of them — Plus Jakarta Sans and JetBrains Mono — ship
inside the plugin and are served from your own server. Plus Jakarta Sans is the default, so out of
the box no request to Google is made. If you select any other family, the plugin enqueues that
stylesheet from Google’s CDN instead, and the tab tells you so before you choose.
When: on every page view of your site’s front end, while a non-bundled font is selected.
What is sent: the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent, as with any request to a third
party — this is what makes it relevant under the GDPR.
What is received: the font stylesheet and font files.
Service: Google Fonts — see the
Google Terms of Service and
Google Privacy Policy.
Social sharing links
The property page can show links to share a listing on WhatsApp, Facebook or X. These are ordinary
links, not embedded scripts: nothing is loaded from those services and no data leaves your site
unless a visitor clicks one, at which point their own browser opens that site as it would with any
other link. No tracking pixel, iframe or SDK from those services is included.
Shortcodes
[quidra_listings]— Property listing with pagination.[quidra_featured]— Featured properties widget.[quidra_recent]— Recent properties widget.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need an Idealista XML export subscription?
Yes. You need an active “Suscripción XML” with Idealista and the FTP credentials (host, port, user, password and file path) they provide for it. Contact Idealista support to request or confirm access.
Why is one of my properties a draft?
Either the feed has no photos for it yet — a property page with no images is worse than no page at all, so it waits and publishes itself on the next sync as soon as Idealista sends them — or it left the feed and was archived, if that is what you chose in the Synchronization tab. Quidra → Dashboard tells you how many are waiting and why.
Can I override the default templates?
Yes. Copy any template from this plugin’s public/templates/ folder to wp-content/themes/your-theme/quidra-idealista/ and edit freely. That folder name stays as it is on purpose, so overrides written for earlier versions keep working.
How are properties that disappear from Idealista handled?
When a property leaves the feed, it can be either archived (set to Draft) or permanently deleted — your choice, in the Synchronization tab.
Where do contact-form enquiries go?
They are emailed to the address you set in Quidra → Email / Contact. Because that means handling someone’s personal data, the form asks visitors to accept your privacy policy — set one under Settings → Privacy so the consent text has somewhere to link.
Does the plugin track visitors?
No. It sends nothing anywhere on its own. There is an option, off by default, under Quidra → Display: “Send events to Google Tag Manager / Google Analytics 4”. When you turn it on, and only if your site already runs one of them (a dataLayer on the page), the plugin adds a few events to it — an enquiry sent, a click on the agent’s phone or email, a share — so you can measure them with the tool you already have. The events carry no personal data.
Changelog
Enquiry emails include the accepted consent text; hardened output escaping; internal clean-up. No settings or content change.
2.1.3
- Enquiry emails now include the consent text the visitor accepted, as a record for the agency.
- Events for Google Tag Manager / GA4 are now opt-in: a new option under Display, off by default.
- “External services” now documents that property and agent photos load from Idealista’s image servers.
- The “JetBrains Mono” font can now be selected and saved.
- The Style tab’s brand colours are now Primary and Secondary: the two colours the plugin’s styles use.
- The Dashboard explains why a property is a draft: no photos in the feed yet, or archived after leaving the feed.
- Output escaping hardened across all templates.
- The Shortcodes tab documents every URL filter parameter the listing accepts.
- Automatic synchronization is scheduled as soon as the plugin is activated, instead of on the next page load.
- The plugin’s stylesheet no longer changes the box model or the scrolling behaviour of the rest of the theme: those rules now apply only to Quidra’s own markup and property pages.
- Removed code, settings and styles that the plugin itself did not use. Nothing you had saved changes.
2.1.2
- Email tab: a “Send test email” button, and a “Delivery errors” panel listing the last errors WordPress reported when handing a message to your mail server, with a button to clear them.
- Property list: no more “Edit” and “Quick Edit” links on properties, which have nothing editable. “View”, “Preview” and “Trash” stay.
2.1.1
- The enquiry form messages and the default notification email are now written in English, like the rest of the plugin, and translated like everything else.
- After sending an enquiry, the button goes back to “Send message” in your site’s language.
- Fixed a debug notice (“translation loading … triggered too early”) on the first page load after activating the plugin.
