About PriceBlueprint Attribute Pricing for Wo…
From the official readme · v1.10.0Description
PriceBlueprint lets you set a price per attribute value: Color = Red adds $2, Material = Cotton adds $5. As customers make their selections, the price updates live. No variations needed.
Attach one blueprint to multiple products. Update one rule — every linked product reflects the change instantly.
What’s included:
- Reusable blueprints: one blueprint can cover your entire catalog if the pricing logic is the same
- Attribute-based rules: works with any WooCommerce global attribute: size, color, material, finish, whatever you use
- Live price updates: the price recalculates on the product page as customers make their selections
- Cart and checkout: selections and the final price carry through correctly at every step
- Order records: attribute choices show up in WC Admin, order emails, the Thank You page, and My Account
- No variation records: nothing gets written to the database per combination, so your store stays clean
- HPOS compatible: works with WooCommerce High-Performance Order Storage
- Schema.org structured data for configurable products
- RTL support and translations: English, German, French, Spanish, Ukrainian, Polish
Requires WooCommerce 6.0 or higher.
Who uses it?
Mostly store owners who got tired of managing hundreds of variations. Clothing shops with size and color pricing, custom product builders, print-on-demand stores — anyone who has the same pricing logic repeated across a lot of products.

Frequently asked questions
How is this different from WooCommerce variations?
With variations, every combination of attributes needs its own record. Four sizes × three colors = 12 variations to create and maintain. PriceBlueprint skips all that. You write one rule per attribute value and the price is calculated from those rules at runtime. No combinations, no bloat.
Is this a WooCommerce variations alternative?
Yes — instead of creating a separate variation for every attribute combination, you set one price rule per attribute value and apply it across as many products as you want. No variation explosion, no manual syncing.
How is this different from WooCommerce Dynamic Pricing plugins?
Dynamic pricing plugins discount based on cart quantity or rules at checkout. PriceBlueprint prices individual product attributes (like size or material) directly on the product page — a different problem: attribute-based pricing, not cart-level discounts.
Can I use the same blueprint on multiple products?
Yes, that is the whole point. One blueprint, as many products as you want. Update a rule and all of them update with it.
What if I change a blueprint while someone is shopping?
New sessions get the updated price right away. Anything already in the cart recalculates on the next page load.
Does it work with caching plugins?
Yes. Price updates happen via AJAX on the product page, so full-page caching does not interfere.
Can I set a rule that adds nothing to the price?
Yes, just set the add-on to 0.00. Handy for your base option that should not change the price.
Changelog
1.10.0
- New: Attribute dropdowns can now show each value’s price add-on inline (e.g. “Leather (+$5.00)”) — the selected value’s price moves next to the attribute’s label instead of repeating on the option itself. The optional text field shows its own price add-on next to its label whenever it’s filled in. Off by default — turn it on under WooCommerce → Settings → PriceBlueprint → “Show prices”.
- Fix: Selected attributes and the special field now list one per line in the Cart and Checkout blocks (e.g. “Color: Red”, “Size: XL” on separate lines) instead of being run together on one line separated by ” / “.
1.9.0
- New: Special Field — let customers add their own custom text (e.g. “Custom Engraving”) on the product page, with an optional price add-on. Selections carry through the cart, checkout, and order records the same as attribute pricing.
- Improved: Special Field now has its own admin panel on the Pricing Rules screen, separate from attribute sections, so it’s easier to find and configure.
1.8.0
- New: Optional help text per attribute — add a short note to any attribute in the Pricing Rules editor and it shows as an info icon next to the attribute name on the product page, with hover, tap, and keyboard support.
- Improved: Pricing Rules editor text sizing reworked for readability — nothing smaller than 12px, and size now reflects importance (attribute names stand out from labels and secondary text).
1.7.4
- Renamed the plugin to “PriceBlueprint Attribute Pricing for WooCommerce” — resolves a WordPress.org Plugin Directory naming guideline violation (display name previously led with the “WooCommerce” trademark).
- Trimmed the Tags list to 5 (attribute-pricing, woocommerce, pricing-rules, product-attributes, variable-products) — WordPress.org ignores anything past the 5th tag.
1.7.3
- Improved the Freemius connection prompt with a clearer explanation of what’s shared and why.
- Reordered the welcome screen so trying the demo data comes first.
1.7.2
- Security: Add-to-cart validation now verifies every selected option against the blueprint’s actual rule values — previously a tampered form submission could add a product to the cart without paying for its selected options.
- Fix: The plugin could not be deleted from the Plugins screen — uninstall.php referenced a Freemius helper that is unavailable during uninstall, causing a fatal error. Uninstall now also removes plugin options and correctly clears leftover transients.
- Fix: Fatal parse error on PHP 7.4 — a PHP 8-only union type in the gallery placeholder handler broke sites running the minimum supported PHP version.
- Fix: Pricing rules containing non-Latin characters (ö, ü, ł, Cyrillic, etc.) or quotes in term labels were corrupted on save due to missing slashing around the stored JSON. Affected blueprints need to be re-saved once after updating.
- Fix: Moving a blueprint to the Trash no longer wipes prices and attributes of linked products. Trashing now only unpublishes linked products (fully reversible); permanent deletion additionally unlinks them, leaving all other product data intact.
