Stop migrating your entire database just to publish one post.
PostDeploy lets administrators select one post (or page) on a remote WordPress site and deploy just that object — along with its basic dependencies (post meta, taxonomies, featured image, and referenced content media) — to the current site. Everything else on the destination site remains untouched.

Content built with Elementor, Advanced Custom Fields, or WPML migrates too — the free version transfers everything through the same pipeline as any other post. What it can’t do on its own is resolve site-specific references inside that content: an Elementor widget’s image, an ACF relationship or gallery field, or which WPML translation to send. PostDeploy Pro adds that resolution, plus bulk/scheduled deployment, snapshots, rollback, and WP-CLI.
Installation
- Upload the plugin files to
/wp-content/plugins/postdeploy, or install directly through the WordPress plugins screen. - Activate the plugin through the “Plugins” screen in WordPress.
- Go to PostDeploy → Connections to connect a remote WordPress site.
- Go to PostDeploy → Remote Content to browse and select a post to deploy.
Frequently asked questions
Does this replace my whole database?
No. PostDeploy never performs a full database migration or replaces core WordPress tables. It transfers one selected object and its basic dependencies only.
Can I connect more than one remote site?
Yes — connect as many remote environments as you need.
Can I migrate custom post types?
Yes. Posts, Pages, and any other public custom post type (Products, Events, Portfolio items, and similar) all migrate the same way.
What happens to my data if I uninstall the plugin?
By default, uninstalling leaves your WordPress content and migration history untouched. An explicit cleanup option is available if you want migration records removed.
Can I migrate pages built with Elementor?
Yes, the underlying design data migrates along with everything else. What the free version doesn’t do is resolve the attachment/image references inside it, so a migrated Elementor page may show images pointing back at the source site until it’s re-saved in the editor. PostDeploy Pro resolves those references automatically as part of the transfer.
Can I migrate content with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) data?
Yes, ACF field values migrate along with the rest of the post. Fields that reference other content (relationship, gallery, post object) keep their source-site IDs unless something resolves them for the destination — that resolution is what PostDeploy Pro adds.
Can I migrate posts that are part of a WPML translation?
Yes, any post migrates regardless of its WPML language. The free version doesn’t let you pick which translation to send or link it into the destination’s translation group — it migrates the post itself, same as any other. PostDeploy Pro adds the ability to choose which language (or the whole translation group) to migrate and links it correctly on the destination.

- Fixed Bugs: Backslashes in migrated content and custom fields were silently dropped — for example Windows-style paths, code samples, and regular expressions, plus special characters inside block content. For Elementor pages this could leave the design unreadable on the receiving site. Content and custom-field values now arrive exactly as they were on the source site.
- Fixed Bugs: Custom fields that hold a list of settings (for example a page builder’s per-page settings) arrived on the receiving site as an unusable block of text instead of real settings. They now arrive as working settings.

- Fixed Bugs: A post already pushed to one site could incorrectly show as “already pushed” when you switched the push destination to a different site that had never actually received it.
