About Free Widgets For Elementor
From the official readme · v2.0.7Description
Free Widgets For Elementor adds a focused set of essential widgets that Elementor’s free core doesn’t ship with — Pricing Table, Flip Box, Team, Call To Action, Countdown Timer, Post Grid, Logo Carousel and Table of Contents. Rather than re-creating widgets you already have, it fills the real gaps, cleanly and lightly. It is 100% free forever: no Pro version, no upsells, no locked features, and no “Upgrade” buttons cluttering your editor.
Browse the demo gallery — see every ready-made section you can import in one click · Read the full guide — installing it, what each widget does, and how the per-widget asset loading works · Development on GitHub — report issues or contribute.
Why you’ll like it
- Fills the gaps — the widgets Elementor’s free core leaves out, without the bloat of a giant all-in-one pack.
- Performance-first — each widget’s CSS/JS loads only on pages where the widget is actually used (conditional asset loading). Nothing unused is ever queued.
- No bloat — plain CSS and vanilla JavaScript. No jQuery dependency for our widgets, no heavy libraries, no build artifacts.
- Clean, accessible markup — semantic HTML, escaped output and
prefers-reduced-motionsupport on animated widgets. - Container ready — works seamlessly inside Elementor’s Flexbox and CSS Grid containers.
- Translation ready & RTL friendly.
- Truly free — GPL licensed, open source, no account or license key required.
Included widgets
- Pricing Table — a pricing plan with header, price, feature list and a button, with an optional “featured” highlight.
- Flip Box — a card that flips in 3D (hover or click) to reveal a back face with a call to action.
- Team — team member card with photo, role, bio and social links.
- Call To Action — title, description and button in a styled box.
- Countdown Timer — counts down to a date and time, with an optional expired message.
- Post Grid — display your posts in a responsive grid (image, title, meta, excerpt and read-more).
- Logo Carousel — a responsive logo/brand carousel with arrows, dots and autoplay, powered by a lightweight built-in engine.
- Table of Contents — an auto-generated, clickable outline of your page’s headings, with smooth scroll and an optional collapsible list.
Admin tools
A clean dashboard lets you enable/disable individual widgets, set global design defaults (border radius, shadow, typography), allow inline SVG icons, and view system information — all stored in a single, lightweight option.
External services
This plugin includes an optional Demo Library that loads ready-made Elementor sections from a remote service hosted on GitHub Pages: devmonowar.github.io/wp-plugin-demo-library
It connects to this service only when you:
- open the Demo Library screen — to download the list of demos and show their preview images; and
- click Import — to download that demo’s template and images into your site (as an Elementor saved template, with images added to your Media Library).
These are plain, read-only requests for files. No personal data is collected or sent, and no request is made unless you use the Demo Library. The service is provided by GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc.) — terms of service — privacy statement.

Frequently asked questions
Does this plugin require Elementor?
Yes. It extends the free Elementor page builder, so Elementor must be installed and active. Elementor Pro is not required.
Is it really 100% free?
Yes. There is no Pro version, no upsell, no license system, and no feature is locked behind a paywall.
Will it slow down my site?
No. A widget’s stylesheet and script are loaded only on the specific pages where that widget is used, so visitors never download CSS or JS they don’t need.
Are the widgets accessible?
Yes. Widgets output semantic, escaped markup, animated widgets respect the visitor’s prefers-reduced-motion setting, and interactive elements are keyboard-friendly.
Does it work with Elementor’s Flexbox and Grid containers?
Yes, all widgets are built to work inside Elementor containers.
Where do the demos come from?
The optional Demo Library screen loads ready-made sections from an online library, so new demos can be added without updating the plugin. It only connects when you open the Demo Library screen or import a demo. See “External services” below.
Can I disable widgets I don’t use?
Yes. The plugin dashboard lets you enable or disable each widget individually, so only the widgets you need are registered in the editor.
Does it work with my theme and other Elementor addons?
Yes. The widgets are self-contained and do not override theme styles or other addons’ widgets. They follow Elementor’s standard widget API, so they work with any theme that supports Elementor.
Is the plugin translation-ready and RTL friendly?
Yes. All strings are translation-ready and the widget styles work in right-to-left languages.
Do I need an account or license key?
No. There is no account, no license key, and no activation step. Install, activate, and use.
Changelog
Review notice added; uninstall and demo import reliability fixes. No settings change needed.
2.0.7
- Added: review notice (15-day) + footer rating link.
- Fixed: uninstall now removes review state and demo transients on all sites (multisite).
- Fixed: demo import sideloads images before creating the template, so a timeout can’t leave a half-imported template; manifest failures are cached 10 minutes.
- Performance: version constant hardcoded (no per-request file read).
2.0.6
- Removed: three settings that did nothing — “Load Font Awesome”, “Conditional Asset Loading” and “Debug Mode”.
- Conditional asset loading is unchanged and always on; it never needed a switch.
- Available on Packagist for Composer-managed sites.
2.0.5
- Fixed: the author link on the Plugins screen went to a WordPress.org profile page instead of the author’s own site.
- Added: links to the demo gallery and the full guide in the plugin description.
- Tested up to WordPress 7.1.
2.0.4
- New: Table of Contents widget — an auto-generated, clickable outline of your page’s headings, with smooth scroll, scrollspy highlighting and an optional collapsible list.
2.0.3
- New: Demo Library — browse ready-made Elementor sections and import any of them as a saved template (with its images) in one click. New demos are added online, so they appear without updating the plugin.
- Improvements and refinements across the widgets.
2.0.2
- New widgets, plus a lightweight, reusable carousel engine that loads only on pages that use it.
- Improved: a consistent internal structure across every widget for easier maintenance.
