How it works
The plugin embeds a lightweight iframe that loads the live currency converter from converterhub.com. Exchange rates are pulled from official sources and updated continuously.
Attribution (optional, off by default)
The converter does NOT show any “Powered by” attribution link by default and the plugin works exactly the same whether you enable it or not. There is no requirement, no nag, and no reduced functionality if you leave it off.
If you choose to enable it, you can do so in three places:
- Plugin settings: Settings → Currency Converter → Attribution
- Gutenberg block sidebar: Attribution panel
- Shortcode attribute:
show_credit="yes"

Frequently asked questions
Is this plugin really free?
Yes, completely free for personal and commercial use. No premium version, no API keys, no upsells.
Where do the exchange rates come from?
Rates are pulled from professional currency data providers and updated every minute. They’re aggregated from interbank rates and reflect real-time market values.
Can I customize the appearance?
Yes. You can choose from light or dark themes, set a custom accent color, and adjust the size (width and height). The Gutenberg block has a visual customizer panel.
Does it work with page builders like Elementor or Divi?
Yes. Use the shortcode [converterhub_widget] in any HTML/Shortcode element.
Does it slow down my site?
No. The widget loads as an iframe, which is rendered separately by the browser and doesn’t block your page rendering. The iframe itself is lightweight (~5KB).
Can I use it offline?
No, the widget needs an internet connection to fetch live exchange rates from converterhub.com.
Does it work with caching plugins?
Yes. The widget is just an iframe, so it works with any caching setup including WP Rocket, W3 Total Cache, LiteSpeed Cache, etc.
Does the widget show a “Powered by Converterhub” link?
No. The attribution link is off by default and completely optional. The plugin functions identically with or without it. There is no license requirement, no nag, and no reduced functionality if you leave it off. You can opt-in via the plugin settings page (Settings → Currency Converter → Attribution), the Gutenberg block sidebar, or by adding show_credit="yes" to the shortcode.
