AskLoop Widget embeds your AskLoop Q&A profile on any WordPress page so visitors can ask you questions.
Important: This plugin requires a free or paid AskLoop account. It connects to AskLoop servers to load questions/answers and submit new questions.
How to use
- Create an account at askloop.net and note your handle.
- In WordPress: edit a page → Add block → search AskLoop.
- Enter your handle in the Connect box (or set a site default under Tools → AskLoop Widget).
- Publish the page.

Privacy
By default the plugin does not send analytics events. Site admins can enable anonymous usage analytics under Tools → AskLoop Widget. When enabled, interaction events may be sent to AskLoop. See AskLoop Privacy Policy.

Development
Human-readable JavaScript source is included in the plugin under src/ (src/index.js for the block editor, src/frontend.js for the public widget). Minified files in build/ are generated with @wordpress/scripts.
To rebuild assets from source:
- Install Node.js (LTS recommended).
- In the plugin directory:
npm install - Run:
npm run build

Installation
- Upload the plugin files to
/wp-content/plugins/askloop-widget, or install through Plugins → Add New. - Activate the plugin.
- Open Tools → AskLoop Widget and follow Getting Started (optional: set a default handle).
- Create an AskLoop account at https://askloop.net and note your handle.
- Edit a page, add the AskLoop Widget block, enter your handle, and publish.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an AskLoop account?
Yes. Create one at askloop.net. The plugin will not work without a valid handle.
Where do I enter my handle?
In the block editor, the AskLoop block shows a Connect box. You can also set a site default under Tools → AskLoop Widget, or use the shortcode [askloop handle="your-handle"].
Is analytics required?
No. Analytics are off by default and can be enabled in Tools → AskLoop Widget.
Can I remove AskLoop branding?
Branding controls depend on your AskLoop plan. Configure branding in your AskLoop dashboard.
